Abstract

This folder contains correspondances to constituents including, discussing his position at the war shipping administration, letters from his office as a field representative for maritime labor relations, personal correspondences, reporting seamen grievances ranging from unpaid wages and overtime, loss of property, vacation requests, damages, and discrimination, as well as personal letters about trips back to California.
